1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ContractorShield, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Description of Service

ContractorShield provides contractor verification, risk assessment, bid analysis, contract review, and dispute resolution tools for homeowners. Our service aggregates publicly available data and uses data-driven analysis to generate reports and recommendations.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Subscription and Payment

Some features require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method. Subscriptions are billed per project or per case as described on our pricing page. Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase if no reports have been generated.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Harass, threaten, or defame any contractor based on our reports
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or replicate our data or algorithms
  • Share account access with unauthorized parties
  • Use automated tools to access the service without our permission

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of ContractorShield are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Reports generated for you are licensed for your personal use only.

7. Limitation of Liability

ContractorShield provides information and analysis tools, not legal advice. We are not liable for decisions made based on our reports. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
